The Role
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on our interior buildout and tenant improvement projects. This hands-on role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in fast-paced commercial interior environments and takes ownership of schedule, quality, safety, and subcontractor performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage on-site construction activities for office, restaurant, and retail interior buildouts and renovations
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors to maintain schedule, quality standards, and job-site safety
- Interpret construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings; ensure work is installed per plans and codes
- Conduct daily site walks, track progress, and proactively identify and resolve field issues
- Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, owners, and inspectors
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material deliveries
- Maintain accurate daily reports, photo documentation, and as-built records
- Oversee punch list completion and support successful project closeout and certificate of occupancy
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized job site
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or senior field supervisor on commercial interior / tenant improvement projects
- Strong experience with office, restaurant, and/or retail buildouts preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and keep projects on schedule
- Solid understanding of commercial construction means and methods, sequencing, and quality control
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 preferred; valid driver’s license required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a small, collaborative team
