* Jobsite safety leadership and compliance (OSHA 29 CFR 1926); conduct JSAs, enforce permits, housekeeping, and traffic control.
* Field quality control: verification of grades/layout, trenching/backfill, compaction, formwork/rebar, and concrete placement.
* Procore documentation: daily logs, photos, inspections, RFIs/submittals routing with PM/PE/Preconstruction support.
* Productivity tracking and percent-complete reporting; recovery plans when targets are missed.
* Vendor/supplier coordination for deliveries, laydown, site access, and logistics.
Supports:
* Project Manager with schedule updates, change events, and cost control inputs.
* Project Engineer with RFIs, submittals, as-builts, and closeout documentation.
* Client/GC communication regarding access, sequencing, and inspections.
Recommends/Prepares:
* Field-driven optimizations to sequencing, means/methods, and equipment usage to hit schedule and budget.
* Change documentation (T&M tags, quantity impacts) and look-ahead adjustments to mitigate risk.
* Training/coaching plans to raise crew capability and safe production.
Escalates:
* Safety incidents/near misses, utility conflicts, and significant plan/spec discrepancies.
* Schedule or cost risks beyond superintendent control, including chronic vendor delays.
* Contract scope conflicts and client access constraints that threaten milestones.
