Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Summer Housing Assistant at Chapman Grand serves as a student leader who supports the safety, wellbeing, and overall residential experience of summer residents. Summer Housing Assistants work collaboratively with Residence Life staff to assist with community operations, respond to resident concerns, and provide on-call support throughout the summer housing period.
Responsibilities
Participate in the Summer Housing Assistant on-call rotation and respond to resident concerns, lockouts, facility issues, and other operational needs during assigned shifts.
Conduct routine building walks, room checks, and occupancy verifications to support the safety, security, and maintenance of the residential community.
Assist residents by providing information regarding housing processes, community expectations, and available campus resources.
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, facility concerns, and resident interactions while adhering to departmental procedures and timelines.
Support the overall operation of Chapman Grand by communicating building concerns, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with Residence Life staff to ensure a positive summer housing experience.
Required Qualifications
Must have previously served as a Resident Advisor (RA)
Desired Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and uphold university policies and procedures.
