Journey-Level Technical Instructional Assistant

Job Description

Under general supervision, this journey-level technical instructional assistant position translates conversation and provides intensified learning experience for students who are deaf or hard of hearing; and performs a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for teachers and students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Requirements / Qualifications

MUST ATTACH PROOF OF: - Passing the CBEST, or - Having completed two years of college (48 units), or - An AA degree or higher, or - Must have passed the District proficiency exam in mathematics, reading, and writing prior to the job posting closing date, if you are using this for education requirements. -Must have Certification by the Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID) or equivalent. THE PERSON SELECTED FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE SUBJECT TO ASSIGNMENT TO ANY DISTRICT FACILITY DURING ANY HOURS OF OPERATION.
