Substitute Custodian/Maintenance Workers
Reports to: District Coordinator of Facilities
Description: The district is seeking substitute custodians/maintenance workers to step in on a temporary, as-needed basis. This position is paid hourly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and custodial duties as required
- Clean all areas of school buildings according to district standards, including floors, windows, furniture, and restrooms
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment within and outside school buildings
- Deliver supplies and materials to appropriate areas of the building
- Complete grounds keeping duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Valid NJ criminal history check required
- Negative tuberculosis test
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- School janitor/custodian experience preferred
Compensation: $24 per hour
