Salary Range: $20.00/hour with night pay differential as per EGF Teamsters Local 120 Maintenance Contract

East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 9,000 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district's K-12 enrollment is approximately 1900 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. The district also boasts a thriving Preschool Program and lifelong learning opportunities through Community Education.

Position Summary: The substitute custodian performs general cleaning, custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary. May assist with special events and programs. Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to operate basic maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English in order to understand safety instructions, respond to work orders and interact with staff.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as needed (up to 100 lbs).
• Ability to work off of lifts and ladders of various heights when necessary.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (for outdoor maintenance tasks).

Additional Notes:

• Applicants must pass a background check and a driver's license will be required.
