To support innovative energy projects, the full-time Substation Designer will create comprehensive design packages for substations and renewable energy systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams, with the option for remote work. Key responsibilities: Complete substation design packages including layouts, single line diagrams, and bill of materials Develop protection and control design packages with schematics and wiring diagrams Interface with team members to ensure project ownership and exceed client expectations Required qualifications: Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in drafting/electrical design 5+ years of experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or related software in power delivery or renewable energy Strong CAD skills with knowledge of industry drafting standards Authorization for full-time work in Canada Experience with renewable energy systems, including PV plants and battery energy storage systems, is a plus
