In this role, you will manage Echo's civil and structural engineering efforts for high-voltage substations while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through construction.

This is a hybrid role with remote work and field/site visits as needed (up to 20% travel).Key responsibilities include:Manage personnel in the civil/structural engineering groupManage process, procedures, personnel development for the civil/structural engineering groupLead planning, design, and execution of substation projectsDevelop civil/structural designs including site development, foundations, and structural steelPrepare plans, sections, details, and bills of materialPerform engineering calculations and develop technical specificationsCoordinate with electrical, civil, structural teams, and project managersConduct design reviews and perform quality checks on team deliverablesSupport project schedules, budgets, and overall executionPerform site visits, walkdowns, and construction support activitiesWhat You BringStrong experience in civil/structural design for substations or heavy industrial projectsKnowledge of structural steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation designUnderstanding of surveying techniques (LiDAR, photogrammetry, GPS)Familiarity with codes, standards, and construction practicesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to travel up to 20%Technical Tools: AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA, STAAD (or equivalent), Bluebeam, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Project/Primavera (CMiC a plus)Education & Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited)15+ years of relevant experience in utilities, power generation, or industrial environmentsProfessional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license requiredJob LocationRemote-first role with field travel as needed.
