$48,230.00/yr - $75,600.00/yr

The role
In this role, you will interact regularly with clients, referral sources, field staff, and members of the local community. You will be a resource for clients and community partners, guiding them on the path to recovery. You will work side by side with a high‑impact team of medical providers, recovery coaches and coordinators, helping clients to thrive. Your work is essential and your constant feedback will be expected to help clients reach the best outcome possible.
This is a remote position. Services are provided remotely, but there may be an opportunity to work onsite in the future. Unless otherwise agreed upon all candidates must reside in‑market (North Carolina).
What you will do
- Demonstrate and communicate the core values of Better Life Partners
- Facilitate group therapy sessions for Better Life Partners clients
- Familiarize with and utilize Better Life Partners evidence‑based curriculum guides and training
- Provide detailed feedback and maintain clinical progress notes on clients
- Counsel one‑on‑one with clients, when deemed necessary
- Participate in Better Life Partners’ community research and public health partners’ research and data collection efforts
- Formulate and maintain treatment plans for each client served
- Collaborate with community partners and Better Life Partners providers on case management and care coordination efforts
- Adhere to professional and ethical work standards, enforcing appropriate counselor/client boundaries
- Manage group dynamics and problem behavior with strong, professional judgement so that group integrity is maintained
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations for licensing and billing purposes
- Attend and engage in regular training, company meetings, monthly counselor consultation, and supervision as necessary
You are a good fit if you have
- Graduate degree in mental health, social work, psychology, addictions or related field
- NC license as LCASli>
- NC license as LMFT, LCMHC, LICSW
- 2-3 years of experience working with substance use or related field
It will also be great if you have
- Demonstrated experience leading group therapy sessions, interacting, engaging, and connecting with individuals and groups over telehealth/zoom
- Comfortable working with an EMR and/or EHR system, including updating clinical notes
- Willingness to travel locally within the communities we serve
- Must be able to have a flexible schedule, including the ability to work 1-2 evenings a week to meet our member’s needs
- Self‑motivated to help as many people as possible; team player with an “all hands on deck” positive attitude, organized/able to multitask
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor
- Willingness to travel within NC
- Valid driver’s license
Location requirements
- BLP operates in hybrid and remote work environments; candidates must be willing and able to travel locally within the communities we serve and/or travel to onsite meetings as expected.
When working from home, the requirements include
- Must have reliable internet service with a fast upload/download ability
- Ensure any protected health or proprietary data/information is not visible (or audible) to others in any work location
- Must have a quiet space to speak to members, team members, or external partners with minimal background noise and distractions
