Substance Abuse Counselor

Victory Recovery Partners is hiring a full-time Substance Use Counselor (CASAC / CASAC-T) to join our team in Hempstead, NY.

Victory is an outpatient recovery center with Medication Assisted Treatment, Behavioral Health, Wellness, and Psychiatry available under one roof.

As a counselor, you’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team, making it easier to coordinate care with the professionals supporting your clients.

This is an on-site, full-time position at 40 hours per week.

Compensation

Base pay is $24–$28 per hour, determined by credential and experience, with opportunities to earn weekly bonuses that could potentially add thousands of dollars to your annual pay.

This is an hourly position with predictable, guaranteed base pay for a 40-hour week. Unlike a fee-for-service structure, your base pay is not dependent on every client showing up, so you continue to receive your guaranteed hourly pay when a client cancels or no-shows.

Responsibilities

→ Carry an assigned caseload for individual and group counseling

→ Complete in-depth psychosocial assessments and level-of-care screenings

→ Provide case management and crisis intervention, including warm handoffs to our on-site MAT and psychiatry teams when appropriate

→ Support treatment and discharge planning for your caseload

→ Maintain OASAS-compliant clinical documentation in our EMR

Qualifications

Candidates must hold one of the following active credentials:

→ CASAC, CASAC-T, or CASAC-P

→ LMSW or MSW

→ LMHC or MHC-LP

For CASAC-T, MHC-LP, MSW, and LMSW professionals, Victory provides supervised work hours and supervision toward full licensure.

Candidates should also be comfortable using electronic medical record systems and Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and working with a fast-paced caseload where priorities may shift.

Spanish fluency is a strong plus, but is not required.
