Student Worker, CBIST CommunicationsThe CBIST Communications Assistant supports the communications and community engagement initiatives of the College of Business, Information Studies, and Technology with:Social media support on behalf of CBIST and its schools, including the Brennan School of Business, School of Information Studies, and School of Innovation and Technology.Creating content (with Director's input/approval) for FB, Instagram, X, and othersMonitoring channels and responding where appropriateCoordinating with other student workers to present a unified look and voice to social media postsAssisting the Director of CBIST Communications in compiling information for newsletters and other external communications.Contributing content to the Butler Center's blog as needed: butlerspantry.org.Assisting with marketing and other information sharing of CBIST, SOIS, BSB, and SIT events.Participating in event planning and execution, including professional development events and lectures hosted by CBIST schools.Eligibility Requirements:Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Dominican University's Brennan School of Business, School of Information Studies, or School of Innovation and Technology.Necessary Skills:Mastery of web-based research, social media, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and one or more digital graphic design platforms.Detail-oriented organization.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to lift and move boxes, books, and marketing materials.Effective time management skills and a self-motivated work ethic.Personable demeanor and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with others.
