The High School Athletic Department is seeking a creative, reliable, and motivated student worker to assist with athletic communications and media content during the school day. This position is ideal for a student interested in sports media, graphic design, communications, journalism, marketing, or social media.
The student worker will help create daily graphics, score updates, news stories, social media content, and promotional materials for athletic programs. The role includes working closely with coaches, athletic department staff, and school personnel to gather information and share updates with the school community.

Schedule
- Work completed during a designated free period or study hall during the school day - Preferably 1st Block
- Flexible schedule coordinated with the Athletic Department and student's academic schedule
- Part-time paid position (1 hr per day)
- Design and create athletic graphics, including:
- Game day graphics
- Final score graphics
- Player recognition posts
- Event promotions
- Assist with writing and publishing athletic news stories and announcements
- Communicate with coaches and staff to gather scores, statistics, schedules, and team information
- Ensure content is accurate, timely, and school-appropriate
- Support branding and promotion of school athletic programs
- Current high school student in good academic standing
- Interest in athletics, media, communications, graphic design, or journalism
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Experience with graphic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud preferred, but not required
- Professional and respectful communication with coaches, staff, and students
- Paid student worker position
- Compensation based on school/student worker guidelines from SDPC
- Gain real-world experience in sports media and communications
- Build a portfolio of graphics, writing, and digital content
- Develop professional communication and teamwork skills
- Contribute to school spirit and athletic program promotion
