Student Position Title : Notetaker -Accommodations
Department : Academic Affairs - SARC
Classification: Student Work Study
Location: Science Math Building
Pay Rate: $10.00
Supervisor : Director of SARC
Length of Employment: The term of employment for all student work study jobs is the beginning of the academic year to the end of the academic year at the end of the Spring semester. Both supervisors and student workers can end the employment at any time throughout this time frame. All individuals eligible for student work study must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of six (6) credit hours of enrollment throughout their employment and remain in good academic standing as outlined by school policies and federal financial aid guidelines.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Director of the Student Achievement and Resources Center, the SARC Notetakers are responsible for providing students with accommodation access to notetaking services.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~ Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
- Attend every class based on class schedule.
- Take comprehensive notes during class for the purpose of providing access to notes for students with accommodations.
- Notes can be written by hand or electronically.
- Follow instructors' procedures to submit the notes.
- Notify the Director of SARC if unable to attend class.
- Services provided are confidential.
- Complete training as needed.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Must be enrolled in and maintain six (6) credit hours at Dodge City Community College
- Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Excellent notetaking skills
- Positive instructor referral/recommendation for the course(s)
- In good standing with student conduct
- Ability to communicate ideas well
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Dependable and responsible
- Excellent time management skills
- Punctual
- Self-motivated
- Bilingual
- Ability to bend, stoop, jump, kneel, and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to carry equipment and supplies.
- Ability to ambulate and navigate stairs and ramps throughout the campus.
