This role provides hands-on clinical experience for nursing students while contributing directly to safe, high-quality patient care on the nursing unit.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform all duties of a Nurse Aide as assigned.Assist with admission assessments under RN supervision.Provide wound care following demonstrated competency and supervision requirements.Perform care and maintenance of drainage tubes after required checkoffs.Assist with surgery preparation and pre-operative care.Chart patient care and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record.Assist in developing patient care plans with RN co-signature.Remove IVs, saline locks, Foley catheters, and obtain sterile urine specimens following required supervision.Perform wound cultures and oral suction after required training and supervision.Insert Foley catheters only after nursing program instruction and supervised competency validation.Carry out physician orders under RN supervision.Recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.Job QualificationsRequiredCurrently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited nursing program.Completion of at least two full semesters of nursing coursework and participation in clinical rotations.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.PreferredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.Compensation & ScheduleCompetitive hourly pay based on experience.Flexible scheduling aligned with academic commitments.Why Join UsAt NARMC, you'll gain valuable clinical experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
