Job Description:
These part-time positions are designed to give students a broad overview of marketing and communications. The Student Marketing Team Associates will work up to 10 hours/week to be spread out over 1-2 weekdays (days/times negotiable). Occasional evening and weekend hours events may be needed.
The Student Marketing Team Associates may be involved in the following
- Provide general coverage for the Marketing and Communications office during scheduled hours and help with a variety of administrative tasks
- Assist with the College's Asset Management System, uploading and organizing photos and tagging as appropriate
- Assist with a broad range of design and communication projects ranging from event posters, flyers, digital graphics for web and signage.
- Capture compelling content at college events that may be used for social media (Instagram, YouTube)
- Update information on Connect, the College's internal communication portal
- Keep TV monitors around campus and calendars up-to-date
- Help promote public events on external calendars
- Organize, inventory and track MassArt promotional materials
- Help keep the College's online directory and faculty bios up to date
- Review website content and flag outdated, missing, or inconsistent information
- Support basic accessibility work, such as identifying missing alternative text
- Review student artwork galleries and help gather new work from academic departments
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of Adobe Suite Tools (Adobe Express, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), ProCreate, Canva, and / or other design software) Microsoft Office
- Enjoy connecting and working with people and possess a good sense of humor
- Organized, enthusiastic, and motivated
- Possess skill with administrative tasks and a sharp mind for details
- Effective communicator - especially via email, good writing skills
- Comfortable taking initiative
- Comfortable with completing tasks others have started or beginning tasks others will finish
- Due to the nature of this position, responsibility and a strong work ethic are key characteristics of strong candidates
- Work-Study Eligible students preferred, but not required
- Applicant must be in good academic and judicial standing with the college at the time of application and during the length of employment
- Must be a current matriculating undergraduate student at MassArt
