Student HR CoordinatorThe Student HR Coordinator is a member of a dynamic HR team supporting six nonprofits that are each focused on creating solutions and generating resources to extend the reach of Arizona State University (ASU) and advance its charter. This role will provide administrative support to the HR department, primarily focusing on onboarding activities, HRIS administration, and will support various HR projects as needed.The position will require approximately 20-25 hours per week, with additional availability during school breaks.What You'll Do:Assists the Talent Manager with recruitment activities such as job postings, application review, interview scheduling, and coordinationSecures the integrity and confidentiality of HR data by maintaining employee and organizational information, files, and records effectivelyAssists the HR team with various administrative processes that occur within WorkdaySupports New Employee Orientation (NEO) by processing new hire tasks assigned by the HR Representative and Talent Manager, including but not limited to processing new hires in Workday, completing I-9 verifications, and securing sun cards for new employeesMaintains inventory for new hire bag materials and orders additional supplies as neededResponsible for sending out employee communications, providing administrative support, and ad-hoc reporting for the HR department as neededAssist with Inclusive Excellence data analysis for internal reporting and dashboardsSupport with the creation of Inclusive Excellence newsletters and other communicationsAssist with all aspects of event planning for Employee Resource Groups and support ERGs where necessaryParticipates in various HR projects and initiatives as assignedOther duties as assignedWhat You'll Need:Basic knowledge of various Human Resources functions and proceduresAbility to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, reliability, adaptability, integrity, discipline, and productivityExcellent customer relation skills, communication, and follow throughKeen attention to detailAbility to maintain a high degree of discretion, judgement, tact, and poiseAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to ASU Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries, and University business and confidential prospect informationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to routinely interact and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and relevant stakeholdersHigh organizational and prioritization skills with a clear sense of urgency and self-initiativeAbility to learn quickly in a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentExcellent interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and by phoneAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to meet work schedule expectations and manage time effectivelyAdvanced computer skills and technical proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and similar systemsRelevant Qualifications:A current undergraduate or graduate student at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Psychology or related fieldTwo (2) years of experience working in a customer service environmentThe student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreementPreferred Education and Experience:Experience working within the Human Resources departmentExperience with WorkdayPreferred Skills and Abilities:Familiarity with HR best practicesKnowledge of federal, state, and local employment lawsBenefits:Hybrid work schedule.
