Student Engagement Program AssistantThe Student Engagement Program Assistant position will assist in administrative and programming duties to support the Student Engagement Office. This position will work to increase involvement and to enhance students' collegiate experience by supporting Student Engagement CIO initiatives.General ResponsibilitiesGain a deep familiarity with the Student Engagement platform Hoo's Involved and its various features for student organizationsFacilitate training sessions for CIOs and other organizations. Included but not limited to the CIO Summit, CIO Renewal Training, Table Talk Tuesdays and CIO Leadership AcademyAssist with administrative tasks including managing the Student Engagement email, CIO renewal process, processing supplier numbers and bank fee waiver letters, Hoos Involved support and trouble shooting.Aid SE staff with special projects and tasks, as assigned.Attend weekly meetings – individual and team – with SE professional staff.Work a minimum of 5 office hours in the SE office per weekAttend all training and planning sessions.Other duties as assigned.Skills and QualificationsMust be eligible for a Federal Work Study award that can be applied to this roleMust be willing to work mornings/nights/weekend shifts as requiredExcellent customer service and time management skillsAbility to communicate and partner with a diverse group of stakeholdersAbility to work independently and take initiativeExcellent oral and written communication skillsDependable, punctual, and responsibleOrganized and able to multi-taskAbility to act as a team memberAbility to attend mandatory trainings, staff meetings, one-on-one meetings with your supervisor, and other activities that may be outside of your work scheduleMust be able to perform moderately heavy physical duties (i.e., lifting and setting up equipment up to 30 lbs.)Valid Driver's LicenseAnticipated Assignment Dates: August 26, 2025 - May 8, 2026Position Compensation: $13.00 HourlyLocation: This position will be in Newcomb Hall Programs and Councils space.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Current undergrad UVA student.
