Student Associate (Work-study)
This is a Workstudy position for students attending UT Austin.
Purpose: To support the Charles A. Dana Center's mission of ensuring student success in their mathematics, science, and early literacy education though processing instructional materials.
Responsibilities:
- Process instructional material orders via purchase orders, online tx -shop credit card system, and internal Smartsheet request. Prepare interdepartmental orders for off-site contracted services and professional development training sessions
- Print the instructional materials using a fiery software system on a large production printer. Bind the instructional materials using a coil machine, laminate or shrink wrap the materials. Prepare binders with the printed material.
- Monitor office supplies inventory management; communicate with supervisor when supplies need to be re-ordered. Organize and maintain customer orders filing system.
- Prepare instructional materials for professional development sessions. Scan various office documents and check for accuracy.
- Assists in activities, events, special projects at the Dana Center. Participate in processes and activities designed to establish an organizational culture.
- As other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Be awarded Federal Work-Study on the Work-Study Verification (WSV).
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy standards as set by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
- Must be enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student's academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.
(Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of administrative experience.
Salary Range:
- $18 - $21 an hour
Working Conditions:
- May work around standard office conditions
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
- Use of manual dexterity
