Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to serve in the positionofStudentAccountsCoordinatorfor the Accounting Office. The hourly rate of pay for this full-time, with benefits, position is $17.96. Successful completion of duties requires a thorough understanding of, and adherenceto, College Policies. Willingness and ability to work collaboratively as well as independently is required. General responsibility includes assistance in the management and maintenanceofstudentaccount records, billings, receipts, maintenance of department records on FederalPerkins and Institutionalstudentloans.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Communication withstudents, parents,studentloanborrowers and responsible parties.
- Posting of miscellaneouscharges,studentpayments, and receipts.
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and runningthe monthly billing process.
- Maintaining student loan records and processing payments.
The candidate must be punctual, reliable and possess the ability to work with interruptionsduring periods of peak activity. Effective and professional communication skills are critical, aswell as a high degree of organization and time management. Skilled use of Microsoft Word andExcel is required.
Experience in an accounting or finance office and an Associate degree in accounting ispreferred.
