What You'll Do
- Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
- Build organized MDF/IDF rooms and telecom closets
- Read blueprints and coordinate installations with minimal supervision
- Install cable pathways, supports, and rack systems
- Test and certify copper and fiber cabling
- Troubleshoot installation issues and maintain quality standards
- Mentor junior technicians and help keep projects on schedule
- 2+ years of commercial structured cabling experience
- Experience leading crews or serving as the go-to technician on projects
- Strong copper termination skills with fiber experience preferred
- Knowledge of TIA/EIA standards and structured cabling best practices
- Experience using Fluke testers, OTDRs, or similar certification equipment
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
