Job Title: Structural Welder
Shift: Monday-Friday, 5am-1:30pm/3:30pm depending on workload
Pay Range: $20-$25/hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team on a second-shift schedule. This role involves fabricating and welding structural components such as ladders, hail guards, and platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong MIG and Flux-core welding experience and be comfortable working in multiple welding positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weld structural components including ladders, hail guards, and platforms
- Perform MIG and Flux-core welding in overhead, downhill, and horizontal positions
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Accurately measure materials using a tape measure
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MIG and Flux-core welding required
- Must hold qualifications in AWS D1.1 (will consider ASME but prefer AWS).
- Ability to weld in overhead, downhill, and horizontal positions
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Strong understanding of measurements and use of a tape measure
- Previous structural welding experience preferred
- Reliable and able to work assigned shift consistently
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Capable of working in a production/shop environment
