ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description)
The Welders are responsible for accomplishing work in accordance with work specifications safely, with the highest quality and in a professional manner.
POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training/Experience)
Has 5 years of related experience, with at least two years being NAVSEA-related experience
Possesses standard tools for a welder.
Able to work different shifts.
Must have good knowledge of ship board spaces.
Must have knowledge of weld symbols.
Must Pass Structural Plate Test (SMAW) with 11018m covered electrode, and Flux Core (FCAW) plate with 71T1 filler.
Must Pass GTAW plate test for Stainless Steel.
Must Pass SMAW plate for Stainless Steel.
Must pass Stick over TIG plate test (7018 and 70S2).
