The Opportunity

Functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. With minimal supervision, applies advanced engineering techniques and analyses. Develops concepts and approaches for more complex engineering problems. May provide technical guidance over a group or supervise engineering staff on projects of low to medium complexity. May be responsible for developing, validating, and presenting specialist/technical output.

The Team

As part of BV Operations, your skills will align to projects supporting three market sectors: Governments and Environment, Energy and Process Industries, and Connectivity and Commercial. Roles include Engineers, Technicians, and Skilled Specialists engaged in projects worldwide. The organization emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop knowledge and provide guidance on design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and B&V policies. Provide technical guidance to others on projects and disciplines.
  • Independently apply knowledge and comply with B&V quality program. Ensure compliance and provide guidance. Support continuous improvement and change management.
  • Prepare complex engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects. Conduct complex research and make recommendations for equipment and material selection. Manage data collection and engineering calculations. Manage budgets, schedules, and quality requirements. Delegate tasks appropriately and review lower-level work. May lead production teams or coordinate multiple disciplines.
  • Coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects.
  • Assist with identifying client interests and drivers on low to moderately complex projects. Communicate client concerns to the project team and develop approaches to address them. Support business development or pursuit activities as needed.
  • Act as a technical specialist, providing consultation and guidance to project teams. May design a complete moderately complex project or support multiple projects with complex technical challenges. Mentor others and foster knowledge management.
  • Assist with performance management, mentoring, recognition, and development planning. Mentor lower-level professionals and identify successors.
  • May assist with resource management for small groups within a single discipline.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Ensure policies, procedures, and processes are effectively implemented and communicated for the work group.
  • Adhere to corporate and division programs.
  • Approve timesheets and expense reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (which may include background checks, drug screen, and motor vehicle records) as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications
Significant steel and reinforced concrete design experience at Nuclear Power Plants. Experience writing technical/construction specifications and scopes of work. Experience with nuclear document design verification.

Work Environment

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion, performance, and assignments. Some positions may be relocation eligible. Speak with your recruiter if relocation is of interest.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual compensation range (for the listed location) is $137,916.00 – $230,328.00. Comprehensive benefits include health care, disability coverage, wellness programs, 401(k) matching, and other programs.
