Insight Global is seeking a Staff Engineer for a top structural engineering consulting client. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career structural engineer who wants exposure to a wide variety of projects including luxury residential homes, multifamily developments, commercial buildings, seismic retrofits, and historic preservation work. The ideal candidate will have a strong structural engineering foundation, an eagerness to learn, and a passion for understanding how buildings are actually constructed. This individual will work closely with experienced engineers, architects, contractors, and clients while receiving hands-on mentorship and gaining exposure to real-world project execution. Perform structural engineering design and analysis under supervision Design basic structural projects and structural components Assist in analyzing new and existing structures using various materials Support project teams in developing solutions for client challenges within project budgets and schedules Attend meetings with clients, architects, contractors, agencies, and project stakeholders Learn project execution and technical engineering skills through mentorship and close review
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural/Structural Engineering Structural engineering educational background Strong analytical, problem-solving, and 3D visualization skills Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams Understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes Structural engineering internship experience Construction field experience Exposure to residential, multifamily, commercial, seismic, or historic preservation projects Experience working with multiple building materials (wood, steel, concrete)
