The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience , specializing in structural steel design, connection design, and engineering calculations for complex industrial structures.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced structural engineering services for heavy industrial and power plant projects.
* Prepare, review, and check detailed structural steel design calculations and engineering drawings.
* Apply structural engineering principles to support project design, evaluations, and field conditions.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable structural codes, standards, and industry methodologies.
* Work collaboratively with engineering teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop effective design solutions.
* Utilize structural analysis software to model, interpret, and validate structural behavior and loading conditions.
Required Skills & Expertise
* 10+ years of structural engineering experience in power plants or heavy industrial environments.
* Expert knowledge of structural steel design principles , methodologies, and engineering best practices.
* Significant experience in structural steel connection design .
* Strong understanding and practical experience with structural codes and standards (AISC, ASCE, etc.).
* Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial structures and major structural components.
* Advanced computer skills with proficiency in STAAD PRO or similar structural analysis software.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program is required.
