The Industrial Group projects span markets such as advanced technologies; mining, minerals and metals; process industries; industrial energy; drinking water; wastewater treatment and biosolids; desalination; and industrial water.nnLocationnnThis position is based in our Lenexa, KS office.nnResponsibilitiesnn• Assist in the preparation of designs for assigned structure(s) including research, system selection, analysis, and drawing preparation on projects ranging from moderate to large in size and complexity.n• Apply department and industry standards when preparing calculations, project drawings, and project specifications.n• Leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details.n• Incorporate the requirements of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual requirements ensuring the projects meet or exceed project goals.n• Coordinate with internal and external partners including cross-discipline, construction, vendors, fabricator(s), and owners to address structural-related issues or concerns.n• Support department managers in achieving performance goals for the department.nnQualificationsnn• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering (with a Structural focus) from an ABET accredited university, with some masters’ coursework preferredn• 3.0 cumulative GPA preferredn• 0-2 years’ experience in Structural Design engineering in the Industrial and Water industryn• Proficient in utilizing spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and computer operationsn• Knowledge and experience in engineering software such as RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, CSI SAP2000, SAFE, and Mathcad.n• Knowledge and experience with BIM software: Revit preferred, AutoCAD, and Navisworksn• Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with other team members and disciplines #LI-IPLAnnOther Requirements:nnRegular, reliable attendancenWork productively and meet deadlines timelynCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.nPerform work safely and effectively.
