Structural Design Engineer

STV currently has openings for Structural Design Engineer in our Transportation group based in our Empire State Building office in New York, NY. Field Locations in NYC Metro Area.

Responsibilities

• Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofit design, and transportation facilities.
• Participating on Design Build Projects and Pursuits.
• Perform Quality Assurance on Transportation Projects.
• Contract Document production, including drawings and specifications.
• Bridge load ratings using LRFR and LFD.
• Review of construction phase submittals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Master's degree is preferred.
• PE is required.
• NY is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 plus years of experience.
• Knowledge of New York agencies and projects: MTA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDCC, Port Authority of NY.
• Individual will perform design calculations, develop plan details, quantity take offs, specification writing and other technical report writing.
• Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Specification Writing.
• Cost Estimating.

• Quality Assurance.

Compensation

Range: $149,671.54 - $171,053.19

STV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner. The listed pay range is STV’s good‑faith salary estimate for this position. Please note that the final salary offered for this position may be outside of this published range based on many factors, including but not limited to geography, education, experience, and/or certifications.
