Structural Bridge Project ManagerOur rapidly growing Chicago office is looking to add a Structural Bridge Project Manager to join our team. You will be involved with bridge projects for railways, highways, and other transportation related projects throughout Mid-Atlantic and South. Our team supports some of the most ambitious transportation and infrastructure projects in North America.Responsibilities:Design and develop engineering plans and drawings, including preliminary layouts and final construction documentsSupervise or provide structural assessments including condition evaluation, load capacity, service life, rehabilitation and functional needs, life cycle costing, and renewal options analysisPlan and oversee the production of engineering drawings, specifications, investigations, and planning workLead junior professionals and technical staff in the design and drafting of preliminary and final bridge plansCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project execution aligns with scope, budget, and schedule from concept through final designAssist in the development of project scopes, cost and manpower estimates, schedules, and budgetsProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, supporting their professional growth and developmentApply a quality management system for structural engineering design projects including quality control and assurance procedures, checks, and independent reviews at different phases of designsWe're looking for someone to embody these ethos and welcome applications from bridge project manager candidates with the following experience:Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.

Master's degree preferred8+ years of relevant work experience in structural bridge design and inspectionIllinois SE license is required or ability to obtain licensure within 6 monthsIllinois PE license is preferredIllinois NBIS Team Leader certification preferredExperience with Illinois Department of Transportation standards and project procedures preferredKnowledge and experience in developing and interpreting highway engineering policies, practices, procedures, standards, and regulationsExperienced with construction specs and erection plans and requirements for large structural elementsFamiliarity with Bentley products, and bridge design software such as LARSA, SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, OpenBridge, CsiBridge, AASHTOWARE Bridge Rating, and MDXStrong interpersonal, negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to participate in local professional societiesBenefits & RewardAt Mott MacDonald, our employees have a stake and a voice in our business, providing them with a direct connection to our success through our personal and group performance bonuses.
