Stroke Neurologist

Northwell/Nuvance Health is seeking a full-time BE/BC fellowship-trained Stroke Neurologist to join their expanding Neuroscience Program at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. In this role, the provider will collaborate with a large multidisciplinary neuroscience team consisting of neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists, neurohospitalists, neurologists, and mid-level professionals. The position offers opportunities to participate in clinical trials, research, and a robust residency program in a state-of-the-art facility located just 75 minutes north of New York City.

• Part of an expanding Neuroscience Program and clinical team
• Facility features a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms
• Provides leading acute and critical emergency care in the region, including Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology
• Features established centers of excellence in cardiac services, neurosciences, cancer care, and women's health
• Offers clinical trials, research opportunities, and a robust residency program

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a large multidisciplinary neuroscience team comprised of Neurosurgeons, Neurointerventionalists, Neurohospitalists, Neurologists, and a team of mid-level professionals

Compensation

• Salary of $300,000 - $400,000 annually commensurate with experience
• Highly competitive compensation package

Requirements

• BE/BC fellowship-trained Stroke Neurologist
• M.D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or equivalent)
• Completion of an accredited neurology residency and stroke fellowship
• Board Certified
• Capable in both general & stroke neurology
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York
