Stroke Medical Director

Northwell Health is seeking a full-time physician leader to serve as Stroke Medical Director for its Eastern regions. Responsibilities

• Direct and establish best practices for the hospital stroke program.
• Lead the Stroke Program Team and participate in Neurology Service Line meetings.
• Serve as a liaison between administration and the stroke team, regularly reporting to Executive and Health System leadership.
• Identify opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
• Monitor quality data and lead process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality standards.
• Collaborate with service-line leadership to expand and implement best practices in stroke care.
• Oversee physician recruitment, mentorship, and supervision.
• Drive program development, strategic planning, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• MD Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly appropriately accredited).
• Completion of Neurology residency and Stroke/Vascular fellowship.
• Must be Board Certified.
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating exceptional leadership skills (ideally possessed).
