Role Summary
Strategic Growth Partner (SGP) at Compass – a full‑time on‑site role in our Houston office. The SGP educates Compass agents about the value of Strategic Growth and builds new sales pipeline by connecting prospective agents with Strategic Growth Managers (SGMs). Successful SGPs will progress through a formal SGP‑to‑SGM training program toward the SGM closing sales position.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities to grow the sales pipeline through inbound and outbound activities.
- Reach out to prospective agents that fit our ideal persona via cold calls, texts, emails, LinkedIn campaigns, integrated marketing campaigns and other methods.
- Articulate Compass’s value proposition and handle objections to create qualified opportunities in the market.
- Collaborate with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop effective prospecting strategies.
- Document all activities within the CRM, ensuring flawless data management.
- Drive active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow‑up communications.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to create new processes and refine existing processes through innovative thinking.
- Analyze addressable market in emerging geographies and create demand for disruptive technology.
- Contribute to the high‑performing team and add value to each SGM’s sales process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience and a history of strong performance (SDR, Customer Success/Service, Direct Sales, Account Management).
- Strong interpersonal and rapport‑building skills, a glass‑half‑full mentality, and natural leadership.
- Self‑starter attitude with the ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision; comfortable with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills; able to lead client meetings and presentations effectively.
- Highly organized, able to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Track record of excellence across strategic, operational, and detail‑driven responsibilities.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $38.46‑$43.27 per hour ($80,000‑$90,000 annualized). Base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location; minimum wage for the position will always be met.
