Founded in 1975, CAA is headquartered in Los Angeles, and has offices in New York, Nashville, Memphis, Chicago, Miami, London, Munich, Geneva, Stockholm, Shanghai, and Beijing, among other locations globally.The Role The Strategic Communications Manager will play a key role in creating and implementing external and internal communications strategies across a range of areas, including Music, Creators, Theatre, and Games. This includes supporting media relations for agency clients, as needed.

The Manager will always operate with integrity and purpose.The Corporate Communications department manages global external communications on behalf of CAA, including media relations, speaking engagements, advertising, and events. In addition, the department manages internal communications worldwide, including companywide announcements and meetings. The department also includes a Digital Marketing team, overseeing CAA's social media and web presence, and a Creative Services team of video editors and graphic designers.ResponsibilitiesPartner with business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and assist in creating communications plans that align with and help deliver on these objectivesExecute communication plans, securing high-impact coverage in relevant media outlets, developing messaging across communication platforms, and initiating other communications and/or public relations initiativesCreate and manage profiles of key business leaders, including agents and executivesDevelop and foster relationships with key reporters to help achieve strategic communications objectivesManage time-sensitive news storiesPrepare spokespeople for interviews and speaking engagementsProvide direction and feedback to assistants and other staffWrite and edit communications materialsQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience3-7 years of experience in communications (must include media relations, ideally with corporate and internal communications experience)Entertainment experience strongly preferred; service business experience a plusManages multiple demanding tasks while maintaining exceptional attention to detailQuickly grasps new concepts and is agile in working across diverse lines of business in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentExhibits a proactive, service-oriented and collaborative approach to identifying, creating and responding to opportunitiesExercises creative and strategic thinking in their workDemonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and judgment, and builds relationships and trust at all levels of the organizationExcellent verbal and writing/editing skillsLocation This is a hybrid role based out of our Los Angeles office.Compensation The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $95,000 – $140,000 in Los Angeles, CA.
