Role Overview Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service. Ensures store is properly staffed, adheres to safety and security policies, and maintains a clean, organized environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Communicate performance expectations and conduct regular meetings on safety and policies.
- Manage daily store opening and closing, with personal involvement at least twice weekly.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee inventory management, stock levels, and merchandise presentation.
- Maintain accurate cash handling, security, and loss prevention procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive shopping experience.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and proper equipment maintenance.
- Complete required documentation and adhere to operational procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and operating procedures.
- Proficiency in math, cash handling, and report generation.
- Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in retail management and staff development preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.
- Bilingual skills may be preferred in certain locations.
Physical & Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
- Use of retail equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
- Occasional outdoor exposure and ladder use.
