STORE MANAGER
FALL - HOLIDAY POP-UP | NEW YORK CITY | PLAYFUL, CREATIVE LIFESTYLE BRAND
This brand is all about bringing a little joy, creativity, and hands-on fun into everyday life. Think cozy, colorful, a little whimsical, and genuinely delightful from the moment someone walks in.
This fall through the holidays, we're bringing that same warm, feel-good energy to a New York City pop-up -- and we're looking for a Store Manager who leads with fun, warmth, and real enthusiasm for helping people create something they're proud of.
The Role
As Store Manager, you'll lead the team through a full seasonal run -- from the fall build-up through the busy holiday season -- setting the tone for a store that feels genuinely joyful to walk into and work in. You'll own the floor, the team, and the numbers, while keeping the fun front and center.
This role is ideal for someone who's a natural leader with real retail chops, but who also brings a playful, likable energy that makes both customers and teammates want to stick around.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
- A fun, warm personality that people naturally gravitate toward -- someone who makes the store feel like a genuinely nice place to be
- A natural teacher and encourager -- patient and enthusiastic with customers who are trying something new or a little outside their comfort zone
- Confident and organized, with the stamina to lead a team through a demanding, multi-month holiday season
- Genuinely enjoys creativity, craft, and helping people feel proud of what they make or give as a gift
- Calm and steady under pressure, especially during peak gifting and holiday traffic
Key Requirements
- Prior retail leadership experience (Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Keyholder) is required
- Comfortable and energized by the intensity of a fall-through-holiday retail season, including peak gifting periods
- Genuinely fun, warm, and approachable -- this brand's personality is a huge part of the job
- Comfortable demonstrating products and teaching customers hands-on, even if they've never seen the product before
- Flexible availability across the full fall and holiday season, including weekends and key trading/holiday periods
What You'll Own
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit input, onboard, and train a team that genuinely embodies the brand's warm, playful personality
- Coach the team on product demonstrations and customer teaching moments, not just transactions
- Build and manage the schedule to keep the floor fully covered and energized through the full holiday season
- Keep team morale high through a long, demanding seasonal stretch
Customer Experience
- Create a warm, welcoming first impression for every customer, whether they're browsing or gift shopping under pressure
- Personally lead or support hands-on product demonstrations, helping customers feel confident and excited
- Turn holiday gift-shoppers into genuine fans of the brand, not just one-time buyers
Sales Performance
- Own overall store sales performance across the full fall-through-holiday run, including key peak gifting weeks
- Coach the team on gift-focused selling and cross-selling without ever feeling pushy
- Report performance and customer insights back to the brand/RFTP point of contact
Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation
- Maintain a colorful, cozy, and inviting store presentation that reflects the brand's playful personality
- Keep displays fresh and gift-ready throughout the holiday season, adjusting for seasonal moments and promotions
Operations & Store Management
- Own daily opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and stock replenishment through a high-volume holiday season
- Coordinate gift-wrap/packaging flow and fitting-room-equivalent logistics as needed during peak periods
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for day-to-day operational issues
- Lead end-of-season close-out procedures once the pop-up concludes
Success Metrics
- Strong sales performance across the full seasonal run, especially peak holiday weeks
- High customer satisfaction and repeat visits throughout the season
- A motivated, high-motivation team from the fall build-up through the holiday rush
- Consistent reflection of the brand's warm, playful personality in every part of the store
