Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the Store’s operations and leads the entire operation to meet Company standards and best practices.
- Staff, train and develop the leadership team to deliver sales and profit results while maintaining a friendly shopping environment.
- Recruit, train and develop Associates; manage Stockroom, Front End, and Sales Floor to ensure new merchandise reaches the floor promptly and expenses are controlled through best-practice productivity.
- Lead in operating requirements, payroll administration, scheduling, and adherence to Company policies; address variances with appropriate action plans in collaboration with the District Manager.
- Recruit, hire, train and develop Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors and non-exempt Associates; strive to reduce turnover and promote retention tools and training completion.
- Ensure compliance with State, Local and Federal regulations and Ross personnel policies; address personnel and performance issues with coaching and progressive discipline when needed.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment; ensure emergency procedures are understood and executed by Associates.
- Model professional appearance and maintain a clean, easy-to-shop store environment; supervise merchandising execution and timely processing of merchandise.
- Provide Loss Prevention leadership, safeguard confidential information, and lead annual inventory processes.
- Lead customer service programs, coaching Associates to deliver efficient and friendly service at registers, service desks, and on the sales floor.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of Store management experience in a retail environment.
- Strong customer service focus; ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate with Store Associates at all levels.
- Ability to train, coach and develop Associates; ability to organize and prioritize tasks and manage schedules to achieve results.
- Fluency in English; ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, and using store equipment as required.
Salary and Benefits
National base salary range: $47,500 – $107,818. Total compensation may vary by experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), employee discounts, and other related programs as described by Ross.
