As Store Manager, you will lead La Coqueta’s Madison Avenue store, taking responsibility for its commercial performance, customer experience, team and daily operations. You will lead from the shop floor, creating a warm, high-performing culture and ensuring the store consistently reflects La Coqueta’s standards of craftsmanship, service and attention to detail. Working closely with the Retail Area Manager and UK Head Office, you will turn company priorities into strong in-store execution.

Commercial Performance
- Own the store sales plan and deliver agreed sales and profitability targets
- Review performance and KPIs, identify opportunities and take clear action
- Drive conversion, average transaction value, units per transaction and customer retention
- Provide useful customer and product feedback to Head Office
- Develop local partnerships, events and community activity that build awareness and sales
Customer Experience & Clienteling
- Lead by example in delivering a warm, personal luxury customer experience
- Build strong client relationships and ensure the team maintains active, accurate client books
- Drive appointments, follow-up, reactivation and other activity that encourages repeat business
- Resolve customer issues quickly, professionally and in a way that protects the brand
- Maintain an average Google review rating of at least 4.7 and respond appropriately to feedback
- Recruit, train, coach and retain a high-performing store team
- Set clear expectations, priorities and individual sales goals
- Provide regular feedback and address performance or conduct issues promptly
- Create fair, effective rotas that provide strong customer coverage and manage payroll responsibly
- Build a positive, inclusive and accountable working culture
Store Operations
- Ensure the store runs smoothly, safely and securely each day
- Maintain accurate cash handling, till, banking and store administration procedures
- Oversee deliveries, replenishment, stock accuracy, inventories and loss prevention
- Maintain excellent visual merchandising, housekeeping and back-of-house standards
- Ensure company policies, health and safety requirements and opening and closing procedures are followed
- Communicate store priorities, results and issues clearly to the team and Retail Area Manager
- Work effectively with UK Head Office on product, visual merchandising, marketing and operational activity
- Support store events and wider US retail initiatives where required
Skills & Experience
- Previous Store Manager or strong Assistant Store Manager experience within premium or luxury retail
- A proven record of achieving sales targets and improving store performance
- Strong leadership, coaching and people-management skills
- Excellent clienteling and luxury customer-service experience
- Confident using retail KPIs to make commercial decisions
- Experience managing rotas, payroll, stock, cash and daily store operations
- Clear communication, strong organisation and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously within a growing international business
- Experience in luxury childrenswear, fashion or lifestyle retail is desirable
