Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced, responsible, and service‑driven Store Manager to join our team at Mr. Chubby Topanga. This role is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing front‑of‑house performance, supporting back‑of‑house coordination, maintaining service standards, and ensuring a smooth and positive guest experience.


The ideal candidate has strong restaurant management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume dining environment. This position requires hands‑on leadership, strong problem‑solving ability, and a commitment to operational excellence.


Employment Type: Full‑Time, Exempt or Non‑Exempt depending on final role classification


Pay Rate: $55,000-$70,000 annually with bonus, subject to applicable federal, state, and local tax withholdings. For positions in California, the pay range will be provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements.


Start Date: Upon onboarding completion


All required pre‑employment notices and documents will be provided at or before the start date, as required by law.


Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth front‑of‑house and overall store performance.

  • Lead, train, coach, and supervise team members to maintain service quality, efficiency, and company standards.

  • Manage staff scheduling, attendance, shift coverage, performance expectations, and daily task assignments.

  • Ensure guests receive warm, professional, and timely service throughout their dining experience.

  • Handle guest concerns, service issues, and operational problems in a professional and timely manner.

  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to maintain communication, food quality, order accuracy, and service flow.

  • Monitor store cleanliness, organization, safety, and compliance with health department and company standards.

  • Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling oversight, daily reports, and manager logs.

  • Assist with inventory communication, supply needs, waste reduction, and operational cost control.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, staff training, and ongoing team development.

  • Maintain a positive, professional, and high-performance workplace culture.

  • Perform well under high‑pressure, high‑volume conditions while leading by example.


Qualifications



  • Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience in full‑service, self‑service, small plates, hot pot, BBQ, Asian dining, or high‑volume restaurant operations is a plus.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Ability to train and manage a team while maintaining consistent service and operational standards.

  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest service, scheduling, sanitation, and basic labor control.

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Must be reliable, punctual, professional, and able to lead by example.

  • Bilingual English/Chinese is strongly preferred, but not required.
