About the Role

We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and hands-on Store Manager to lead daily operations at our Wooltari LA store.

The Store Manager will oversee store performance, manage employees, maintain inventory accuracy, improve customer experience, and ensure Wooltari’s operational standards are consistently followed.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, can solve problems effectively, support team members, and take ownership of store operations.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the Wooltari LA store.
  • Maintain high customer service standards and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Handle customer inquiries, service issues, and operational challenges.
  • Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are properly followed.

Employee Management & Scheduling

  • Manage store employees and assign daily responsibilities.
  • Create and manage employee schedules based on business needs.
  • Train employees and provide coaching to improve performance.
  • Monitor employee performance and address operational concerns.
  • Collaborate with HR regarding employee-related matters.

Inventory & Product Management

  • Manage product ordering and inventory levels.
  • Monitor sales trends and inventory conditions to support product availability.
  • Maintain proper handling and organization of refrigerated, frozen, and shelf-stable products.
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, stocking, and product display standards.
  • Improve inventory accuracy and minimize inventory issues.

Sales & Store Growth

  • Execute promotions and campaigns in collaboration with the corporate team.
  • Implement sales initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve customer engagement.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations based on store performance.

Corporate Communication

  • Communicate directly with the Carson headquarters regarding store operations.
  • Implement company policies and operational strategies at the store level.
  • Report store performance, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support business goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing a retail store, grocery store, restaurant, or customer-facing operation.
  • Experience leading and managing employees.
  • Experience creating schedules and managing staffing needs.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and make independent decisions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Retail Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Experience in grocery, supermarket, food retail, hospitality, or customer service operations.
  • Experience managing inventory and product operations.
  • Experience using POS systems and retail management systems.
  • Experience handling refrigerated and frozen food products.
  • Understanding of Korean food products or Korean retail environments.
  • Fast-paced retail environment.
  • Regular interaction with customers, employees, and corporate teams.
  • Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting with inventory tasks.
  • Experience working with refrigerated and frozen products is preferred.
