Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring for a full‑time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our Morningside Heights store located at 1028 Amsterdam Ave in New York City. This role supports the Store Ops Manager by overseeing operations, training, and customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
Base Pay Range
$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr

- Manager‑on‑Duty duties during scheduled shifts when GM is absent
Responsibilities
- Perform Manager‑on‑Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present
- Supervise, train, and coach 2‑5 team members in cookie sales and deliveries
- Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training
- Conduct initial interviews for potential hires (Crew, Shift Leaders, Delivery Drivers) in manager’s absence
- Support Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling
- Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies)
- Ensure overall customer service excellence and upselling across the team
Desired Skills & Experience
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail store
- Experience conducting in‑person interviews of hourly support staff
- Experience with POS systems
- Proficient with MS Office, Word and Applicant Tracking System
- Able to work a 4‑5 day week and 1‑2 mid/late shifts Thursday‑Sunday
- Must be 18+ and have legal eligibility to work in the United States
