Role Overview:
Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, inventory, merchandising, customer service, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring proper staffing and performance management.
- Conduct performance reviews, address gaps, and recommend pay and advancement opportunities.
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Analyze financial statements to identify business trends, control expenses, and optimize profitability.
- Manage inventory levels through ordering, cycle counts, and stock presentation according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory, control damages, markdowns, and ensure proper merchandise display.
- Ensure cash handling accuracy, security procedures, and store safety practices are followed.
- Lead customer service efforts, fostering a welcoming environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and documentation standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret safety and operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
- Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
- Experience with recruiting, training, and managing staff.
- Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on location.
Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; management experience in retail is advantageous.
Physical & Working Conditions:
Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, and occasional outside weather exposure in a fast-paced environment.
