Store Manager

Role Overview

Responsible for managing store operations, including staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and ensuring compliance with policies and laws. Oversees inventory management, merchandising, and financial integrity through cash handling and security procedures. Provides exceptional customer service and maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Key Duties

• Recruit, select, train, and evaluate employees; manage staffing and conduct performance reviews.
• Open and close the store, ensuring proper staffing and security.
• Analyze operational data to identify sales trends, control expenses, and minimize shrinkage.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering processes, and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure adherence to safety, security, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate financial and inventory records, enforce cash control, and safeguard store assets.
• Lead customer service initiatives and foster a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and proper equipment maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret safety and operational documents; perform basic math and cash handling.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and security practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in retail management preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred in some locations.

Physical & Work Environment

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Use of equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
• Occasional outside weather exposure; fast-paced setting with moderate noise.
