Training Process

During official training weeks you’ll work alongside Training Managers to learn best practices for managing a convenience store. Between training weeks you’ll work a variety of shifts with team members, applying your leadership training. After training you’ll join our bench leadership team, filling in as needed until assigned to your own store.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet guests with a warm welcome and a smile, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Assist the Store Manager in building and developing a strong store team: training, scheduling, and coaching team members. Lead by setting clear, measurable goals, holding yourself and others accountable, and communicating frequently.
  • Monitor product levels on the sales floor, rotating stock and maintaining full inventory.
  • Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs in stores offering hot food.
  • Maintain a clean store, ensuring the coffee station, food service area, and bathrooms are spotless; delegate and complete tasks as needed.
  • Operate the cash register efficiently.
  • In hot‑food locations, oversee additional quality control, merchandising, and safety guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.

Requirements

Minimum Education: High School or GED

Preferred Education:

Minimum Experience: 1 year retail or food service experience

Preferred Experience: 1 year in a leadership role within retail, guest service, or restaurant

Preferred Licenses/Certifications: ServSafe/food safety certification is a plus but not mandatory

Scheduling

This full‑time position requires working a variety of hours, day and night, as many locations are open 24 hours. Weekend and holiday hours are required.

Hours & Conditions

Full-time – 40 regular hours maximum with 5 hours overtime required.

Travel

5%. Ability to deliver deposits to the bank independently and have own vehicle as applicable.

Physical Requirements

Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Stand or walk 8 hours a day; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, and grip; work in cooler temperatures. Noise level is moderate.

Other

Specialized attire required in food establishments (hats or visors, gloves, etc. provided).
