Role Overview:
Responsible for managing store operations, staff, and processes to ensure efficient daily functioning and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees to maintain proper staffing levels and performance standards.
- Lead store opening and closing procedures, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.
- Analyze operating statements to identify sales trends, control expenses, and prevent shrinkage.
- Manage inventory through accurate ordering, stocking, and cycle counts to meet in-stock targets.
- Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, including signage and pricing.
- Maintain accurate cash handling, cashier accountability, and store security practices.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a clean, safe shopping environment.
- Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and complete all required documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to interpret safety and operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
- Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in retail management and compliance with legal hiring practices preferred.
- Bilingual skills may be advantageous.
Physical & Work Environment:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds. Occasional outdoor exposure and driving for store-related tasks. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise level.
