Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
- Oversee daily store functions such as opening, closing, merchandising presentation, and inventory management.
- Analyze operating statements to identify sales trends, control expenses, and minimize shrinkage.
- Order merchandise to meet or exceed stock targets, maintain accurate inventory levels, and ensure product presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for staff and customers.
- Provide excellent customer service and foster a positive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and documentation procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in retail management, hiring, and employee development preferred.
- Physical capability for frequent standing, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, and occasional climbing or outside work.
Additional Requirements
Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to foster teamwork and store compliance are essential. Bilingual skills may be preferred in some locations.
