Key Duties
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Manage daily store opening, closing, and staffing schedules.
- Analyze financial statements to identify sales trends, control expenses, and minimize shrinkage.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and product presentation according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, control damages, markdowns, and cash handling procedures.
- Lead customer service efforts, foster a safe shopping environment, and ensure store cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure compliance with policies, complete documentation, and manage store security.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
- Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
- Management experience in retail preferred; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt to varied situations.
- Preferred bilingual (Spanish) skills at some locations.
Physical & Working Conditions
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and handling merchandise.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and occasional lifting up to 55 pounds.
- Occasional climbing and outside weather exposure.
- Fast-paced environment with moderate noise.
