Role Overview:
Responsible for managing store operations, employee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to ensure efficient daily functioning and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, select, retain, and train qualified staff in compliance with legal and company policies.
- Conduct performance reviews, address gaps, and recommend pay or advancement adjustments.
- Manage store staffing, opening, closing, and safety standards.
- Analyze sales, profitability, and inventory data to identify trends and control expenses.
- Oversee merchandise ordering, presentation, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure store security, cash handling integrity, and compliance with policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
- Supervise staff adherence to policies, complete documentation, and foster customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
- Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in recruiting, coaching, and ensuring legal compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred high school diploma and management experience in retail.
Physical & Work Environment:
Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional climbing. Fast-paced environment with exposure to weather conditions.
