Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified staff in compliance with legal and company policies.
- Communicate performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and address employee development needs.
- Manage store opening and closing, ensuring proper staffing and security protocols.
- Analyze financial statements to identify trends, control expenses, and prevent shrinkage.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, oversee stock replenishment, and ensure merchandise presentation standards.
- Uphold cash handling, safety, and security procedures, ensuring store integrity and compliance.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
- Ensure all store operations adhere to company policies, complete required documentation, and utilize appropriate tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.
- Strong math skills for calculations and inventory analysis.
- Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with recruiting, training, counseling, and legal compliance in employment practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 55 pounds, standing, and moving merchandise.
- Preferred: Bilingual skills in Spanish.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Management experience in retail preferred.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
- Occasional outdoor exposure and climbing.
- Fast-paced setting with moderate noise levels.
