Store Manager

Position Overview

If you are interested in growing your retail management career with one of the largest and fastest growing off‑price retailers in the nation, join the Burlington Stores team as a Store Manager. You will be a mentor, role model, and coach for your team, leading all aspects of a multi‑million‑dollar store operation to maximize sales while embodying our Burlington values. You will manage day‑to‑day merchandising, operations, and service tasks and drive excellent customer service with professionalism.

Day in the Life

• Direct management and oversight of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure implementation of policies, standards, expectations, and initiatives.
• Ensure Assistant Managers and team members fulfill their individual responsibilities.
• Partner with Assistant Store Manager – Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions, and pricing.
• Partner with Assistant Store Manager – Operations to review receiving, transfers, debits/damages, returns‑to‑vendor, and chargeback paperwork for inventory accuracy.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD); set standards and lead by example following Burlington SOPs.
• Manage multi‑million‑dollar sales volume and expense budget, reviewing associated reporting and record‑keeping.
• Recruit, screen, and hire associates to meet staffing needs.
• Facilitate onboarding and training for new associates, provide ongoing coaching, and implement structured learning and development.
• Handle personnel and associate relations issues.
• Manage payroll, workforce scheduling, and budgeting.
• Facilitate effective communication and partnerships among the store team, district and regional management, and other partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of retail management experience in a big‑box or specialty environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software.
• Travel may be required from time to time.

Salary: $82,045.00 – $102,560.00 (Min‑Mid)
