Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role prepares individuals for future Store Manager positions, focusing on developing leadership skills and operational knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Participate in store merchandising, stocking, and presentation according to company standards.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and audits.
• Ensure proper ordering to meet stock levels and maintain product availability.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model for store policies and procedures.
• Help with store opening/closing, cash handling, and safeguarding company funds.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Review sales and operational data to identify business trends and opportunities.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory control, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience in retail preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is strongly recommended.
• Bi-lingual skills may be preferred depending on location.

Physical & Work Environment

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Occasional use of ladders and driving for store-related tasks.
• Fast-paced setting with moderate noise; exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Some travel required without overnight stays.
