Role Overview The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role is intended for developing external candidates for future Store Manager positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training staff.
- Facilitate merchandise staging, stocking, and presentation according to store standards.
- Manage inventory processes, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels.
- Ensure product availability by following ordering practices.
- Lead customer service efforts and act as a role model for company policies.
- Participate in store opening and closing, ensuring cash handling and security compliance.
- Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and a secure environment.
- Review sales and expense data to identify business trends and opportunities.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications And Skills
- Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
- Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
- Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with legal compliance in hiring and store policies.
- Preferred bilingual (Spanish) skills in some locations.
Experience And Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of retail experience is advantageous.
